I designed the branding and built the ecommerce website for the online boutique Sophia-Jane.com. My client briefed for originality with a french twist.

My client wanted to use googlecheckout as her payment method. As the budget was limited I decided to use the free open source CMS magento. Using magento I was also able to set up wishlists, an inventory and a customer database to allow my client full control of her sales, stock and customers. Googlecheckout was used instead of Magento's in built system for added security and accessibility.

The site also utilises some simple jQuery and flash for added animation.

Pensions management magazine is an authoritative comment and analysis on UK pensions and investments, published by the Financial Times. I designed covers for the magazine, which usually concentrate on using an aesthetic image to illustrate the financial themes. Images were carefully chosen to reflect the magazine’s personality, sleek, classy and trusted.

Akiiki Cafe Gallery

Akiiki breifed for an eco-conscious logo for Angel's (Islington, London) first cafe/gallery space. Akiik's concept is good wholesome food in a calm and ethically responsible setting, with the uniqueness of being able to view art. The colour palette chosen hints and reflects at the freshness of the food being served.

TAS & NBA awards event

I designed the new branding and event material for the TAS & NBA awards 2010. The event material included a microsite, flash banners, page ads, invites, entry forms, tablecards and large scale banners.

The challenge of this awards was to create branding that could represent both the TAS awards and the NBA awards as one with the ability to also be separated. I therefore chose to create a gradient taking the two previous colours of each award to use for the combined awards, which could be separated to single colours when representing the single awards.

The Technology Administration and Service Awards 2010 is an annual awards programme from the Financial Times Asset Management Group. It offers a platform for providers of products and services to UK advisers to demonstrate the success they have achieved in delivering the different – yet interdependent – disciplines of technology, admin and service.

The High Net Worth New Breed Adviser Awards 2010 recognises those individuals – and firms – in the advisory community who are leading change within the industry and shaping the future of advice.

Advertising

A selection of dvertising campaigns for the Investors chronicle magazine promoting its own products.

Getting one up on your fellow investors is the key hook to the maze campaign. IC Advantage is an online subscription service from the Investors Chronicle that lets subscribers access premium share tips, opinion, analysis and investor tools on the site. With its marker pen working its way through a maze, the campaign also suggested that using Advantage should be as casual and as part of the everyday routine as doing the crossword or checking the market updates in the paper.

The second campaign continues with the idea of marking the page to decipher the pages content and financial meaning.

eivicab

Branding for a pedicab company called eivicab currently seeking the opportunity to pioneer the first pedicabs within Ibiza (Balearics, Spain).

Eivicab's aim was to promote pedicabs as an emission-free, environmentally friendly passenger transport alternative for the Island in 2010, the logo needed to echo some of these ideas.

Timonier

I designed the branding, cover and launch campaign for the french pensions title Timonier, part of a family of international publications specialising in retirement provision, published by the Financial Times.

Initially I started with the design of the masthead, which needed to look modern with a french twist. This has been achieved with consideration for the use of typography and subtle adaptation of the font such as with the curl of the letter T.

The initial brief for the cover was that it should be able to feature a person, scene or abstract financial theme. I therefore decided to set up a black and white style to ensure that there could be some consistency. I decided to use one highlight colour which could then be used for the magazines supplements.

Catriona Rose

Catriona Rose, initial fashion label identity. Catriona wanted a femine logo that would complement her delicate collection that consists of transformed scarfs into sexy and elegant dresses that have become a must have for the Balearic princess to wear over a bikini and get straight to the clubs.

Headbox homepage

This is my entry for the redesign a homepage headbox competition, a co-creation community.

Improvements include easy functionality & a blog to enhance the content and headbox experience.

The result, a flash based website offering room for headbox to showcase all latest projects. The use of a strong colour makes this site instantly memorable. The minimal design and introduction of video means its easy to use, accessible and allows for increasing prominence of the content.

Notion magazine

Layouts created for Notion magazine, issues 24, 25, 26. Work included designing the illustrations for the lifestyle section of the magazine and redesigning the 'current scene' pages.

Notion's layouts are not heavily templated, instead each issue aim's to provide its customers with access to a substantial amount of music, lifestyle and fashion with inventive layouts.

Sunsilk

A guerilla marketing campaign concept for Face/Unilever improving communication of the brand Sunsilk with a younger audience. This 'mirror campaign' consists of stickers that communicate the benefits of the product and are placed on mirrors in girls toilets to target its specific audience.

Dogmatik

Vinyl design for Dogmatik records. Dogmatik was set up as a platform for a continuing flow of ideas and creativity by fellow producers as well as developing artists. Musically dogmatik focuses on quality electronic cuts, ranging from deep right on through to the experimental.

Marmalade magazine

Layouts for Marmalade magazine, which explore its famous 'cut and paste' aesthetic. The work involved cutting out all of the content and manually laying out the pages so they could be photographed to create the pages of the publication.

Research also included looking for somewhat abstract trends such as porn karaoke.

Co-creation hub

Designs for the visual identity for the London Co-creation Hub, a competition set by Headbox. The challenge was to create a logo that could represent the hub across all their channels. The London Co-creation Hub is a bunch of companies that produce adverts, products and communications, but rather than preach their own views and ideas, they believe in asking everyday people to help them produce more relevant products and concepts.

Collaboration with Bunch design who are a design collective based in London. Bunch's concept for the party Mulletover was to use its regulars as the subjects of the new branding. I was featured in this campaign with the theme anti-valentines. It was great to see how a smaller studio functioned and to be part of a larger concept.

FT Studio Website

I designed and built the FT Studio Website to showcase the work that is created by the studio. The website utilises the FT pink branding colour and has been ordered in six areas to showcase the different areas the studio tackles.
